30% foreign film tax credit launched by Manitoba
The central Canadian province of Manitoba has launched a 30% all-spend foreign film tax credit in a bid to attract a greater number of productions.
Manitoba’s offer is now worth 5% more than rival credits available in Ontario and Quebec. As of April 1st foreign producers will be able to take advantage of the 30% tax credit or they could choose to offset as much as 65% of local labour costs through a pre-existing scheme.
