The Premier Education & Networking Event Returns To Europe

The Association of Film Commissioners Cineposium 2011 is shaping up to be the event that will provide indispensible tools for film commissions to meet the needs of what promises to be a demanding future.

Each year, Cineposium has proven to be a critical venue for commissions to network and to gain education provided by industry leaders. This year the event comes to Enghien-les-Bains near Paris and will focus on strategies that enhance and consolidate your brand, while looking at the impact of social media, and drilling down into key issues of sustainability and partnership.

Here is a brief sample of some of what’s in store for attendees:

Day One – Leadership and Your Strategic Future

Greg Orme will deliver a keynote presentation on strategic leadership, and the dynamic relationship between leadership and organisational strategy development. He will provide a backdrop on how the creative sector is at the forefront of the digital revolution, and case study illustrations that 'bring to life’ the definitions, as well as demonstrating excellent strategy and leadership examples.

Frank Hannigan will lead the day’s sessions on Integrating Social Media Tools, looking at the impact that the use of social sharing tools could have on your relationships with the industry, your local and national officials, your communities, your partnerships and with one another. Be sure to bring your smart phones, laptops and Ipads, as WiFi will be provided!

Day Two: Sustainability: Today’s Business, Tomorrow’s Possibilities

Artur Bobovnicky will give the keynote speech on sustainability and address how to become more sustainable when your budgets have been cut, the community doesn’t see the benefits of what you do, the locations are resistant and green practice seems like a luxury.

If your strategy is to invest in your commission’s successful future, Cineposium 2011 is a must-attend event.
