  Hi – I’m looking for a cave situated near some woodland and if possible, not too far from the sea. The location has to be wild as it’s the setting for some Neanderthal drama reconstruction however as we’ll be working with prosthetics etc. it needs to be fairly close to civilisation and a hotel! This is relatively low budget (it’s a 2hr documentary programme for Nat Geo) and it for 4-5 days filming, casting approx. 4 main cast and some extras, also interested in hearing if anyone can recommend a local prosthetics company as well. We’d be looking to film end of February 2008. Look forward to hearing from you!

  Hi Victoria, May be you should give Tunisia (north africa) a chance as a location for your production. we have what you are looking for: a cave (sea front) and a close forest.

  There is a cave (Thingbæk Limestone Caves) in the northeren part of Jutland, Denmark, close to the city of Støvring (population 10.000) (Støvring is Aprox. 20 min. from the City of Aalborg, which is the third largest city in Denmark (population 190.000) Aalborg has a small, but effective airport, up to 15 daily flights to Copenhagen (main capital) There is also a direct flight from London – Aalborg, with Sterling every day (except wednesday and saturday). The cave is close to largest forest in Denmark, Rold Skov, which also have some beautiful lakes, “Store Øksø”, og “Madam Skovsø” Approx. 75 min. drive away, you have the seaside, Vesterhavet.   Hello Victoria, there caves near the sea or by the sea where you can only can go by boat, in the south of Turkey. We need to make a recce for that. What kind of prosthetics are you looking for ? There are good sfx companies and artists , can you send me more info.

  good morning victoria,
  i would like to send you some location from my country, which is italy, precisly sardinia island.
  we have many possibilities as caves location, usually they are not more than 30 minutes from the sea and also i have some right on the sea; i’m talking about both natural caves and our huge mines which are now totally empty and very savage. regarding our background and landscapes, we have rocky mountains, meditarranean and high mountain landwoods, beaches and cliff for hundred kilometers; everything can be scouted and kept in the same area, not to have transferts during the day.
