  Does anyone know of a similar location to the Niger Delta for filming. We are looking for the stark contrast of lush jungle and venting oil pipes and other extreme gv’s but are being advised to avoid the delta area due to MEND. Any suggestions welcome. We could go to Thailand or Brazil or somewhere else in the equatorial band which wouldn’t be as hazardous possibly?

  The KwaZulu Natal (Durban) sub-tropical coast of South Africa may provide locations which will suit your brief. There are many rivers leading to the ocean, some fairly (honestly) polluted areas, informal settlements and subtropical vegetation and ample available talent to choose from.

  Hi Judy:

  We feel that we have the ideal location for you here in Belize. Just a few years ago oil was discovered and it is in the middle of lush jungle vegetation. In addition we have oil pipes running to a newly built refinery. All this is next to one of the largest rivers in the country. On the production side, we can provide all the services, equipment etc. that you would need.
