  Hiya,

  We know there are plenty of cafes in Paris, but to find one that will let us film, that’s another story. We only need the exterior, and we’d like to shoot at night. Here is a photo of our ideal cafe.

  Any small & classic cafes that you think would be great for filming, we’d really appreciate it!

  can you shoot abroad? Because we have several cafes in Budapest/Hungary where you can easily shoot during the night.

  It is also very cost effective to shoot here and Cape Town is so fabulous right now as it is Film Season.

I also shoot often on rue Montorgeuil (the cafe in your sample) and I know ‘film-friendly’ cafe-bar-restaurant owners in several other Paris neighborhoods (St. Germain, the Latin Quarter..), including one used by Woody Allen for ‘Midnight in Paris’.

  Hello Jacob,

  Can you tell us more about your project, i understand it’s a night shoot.
  The area of the café you sent as reference is perfect for working at night, it’s a pedestrian area with access for film crew vehicle. There are really many cafés and restaurants in this area .

  Please find enclosed some example of cafés we scouted this year for a Lancôme Commercial Film and where people are film friendly. We also have all the connections with crew and suppliers in Paris.
