  • We are looking for a mountain location in Chile near Santiago that has pristine mountain top shooting with snow in late June or early July.
    Jagged peaks, glaciers, very dramatic for a commercial spot.
    If you have such locations, please send reference photos AND tell me about your work experience as location manager/production manager in these locations (because we would need to contract locally). Please also add any information about snowfall, logistics and permit costs if you have them, by Tuesday May 8th at 6pm local time.
    thanks
    you can contact me at ginger@santelmoproductions.com

    Dear Ginger;
    On behalf of Film Commission Chile we can tell you that near Santiago (Around Two Hours) you can find different mountains locations: Some of them are Portillo Ski Resort, Glaciar La Paloma, Valle Nevado, Glaciar San Francisco (Cajón del Maipo), and some others.

    Winter season starts in June so it´s easy to find snow locations in July and Agoust.
    Please, find more information visiting our website: http://www.filmcommissionchile.org

    According to your request of location and Production Manager we can help you contacting different professionals depending on what kind of project are you working on.

    Regarding to shooting permits, it will depends on where exactly you want to shoot, (Some counties charge different amounts, CONAF (National Forest Corporation) also regulate permits, so please contact us so we can send you the exact information.

    Regards;
