  hello scouts !

  we are looking for a oil rig platform in best case a training platform , where we could shoot in mid august ! we need to make sfx rain and need to be on the drilling unit !

  if possible in a port or easy to reach (no helicopter etc) .

  we as well can live with a FAKE drilling unit but we need to get a shot from the water for the est.shot of the platform !

  Especially if its a fake drilling unit… all the foundations for an art department to work with minus all the regulations and permissions and pressure and oil safety blah blah blah that a real rig would make you go through… especially if its on the water.

  this is located 26km off shore from Semporna in Sabah, East Malaysia as part of the Sipadan / Mabul dive sites

  I have just read your brief, we do not have any oil rigs on our books but could definitely research for you if you are potentially interested in shooting in Scotland?

  Our research fees for sourcing locations would be £400 per day, for your information.

  Do let me know if you are still looking for something suitable or if you have found somewhere already?

  If you still require options to be sent, can you please give me a bit more info as I know the locations will require more info to go on before they commit to allowing shooting to commence.

  How many shoot days?
  Stills or TV?
  Equipment to be used?
  Crew size?
  Number of models?
  What you propose to do on the drilling unit?
  How much rain and coverage?

  If you can get back to me with the above info, I can then put some calls out to see if we have anything suitable for you here in Scotland.

  Hi Ben,

  If it’s of interest there are a few platforms that are being de-commissioned in a couple of areas around Scotland.

  As for your shot from the water, I know of 2 that are accessible by helicopter (15 minute fly time from base).

  Inverness would be YOUR fly in airport.

  Let me know if this is of interest and I can follow this up with some calls and images.
