Hi there, we’re looking for an abandoned train location to shoot various INT and EXT scenes. I heard about this place Częstochowa Train Depot in Poland, is this still exist?
Do we need permit to shoot there?

    Dear Murray,
Happy New Year to you too.
I was shooting the scenes with trains in Skierniewice, Chabówka, Sierpc, Wolsztyn and in these places I could help you. Unfortunately I have never worked in Chęstochowa. What I can do is checking for you if the train Depot still exists there.
If I could be of any other help don’t hasitate to contact me.

    Best regards,

I would be very glad to help you with this project.

Place in Czestochowa still exist, it belogs to national rail operator, I am sure you need a permission to shoot there.

There are few places like that in Poland (photos from two of them you will find below – both of them work as a museums).

If you are interested in cooperation, please send me some more informations about the project,

All the best, hope to hear from you soon,

    Dear Jean-Pierre,

Thank you for your interest in shooting in Poland.

There are quite a few “abandonded” unrestored locations in Poland, usually available to shoot at. There are also several depots. I would be more than happy to assist you in your reserach and help you find a proper place according to your requirements. I would greatly appreciate more details should you be willing to share them with me at this stage. I would do my best to advise on the most suitable solution.

    Hi Jean-Pierre ,

to answer your question properly I would need more details –
do you just need an abandoned train depot or do you also need trains moving ?
Should it be “shabby ” rusty etc. to have that long abandoned look ?
Do you, by any chance need an abandoned tunnel, too ? There are different places like that in Poland that could serve your purposes – depending on the script.
My experience shows that you will need permits as the areas still belong to the Polish Train
institutions owned by the State. Charges apply and it takes a bit of time to obtain them.
    best regards
    Ewa

    Hi Jean-Pierre,

We have many abandoned places in Poland (both – historical and modern but abandoned) and when we know more details about your project we will be able to find for you perfect location.

Let me know what do you need exactly – is it a depot or more the train itself? What is the purpose – TV commercial, documentary, feature film, photoshoot? What assistance do you need for the project?

We can offer you full production service. Do not hesitate to contact us with all your requests.
