  Dear community,

  we are considering shooting in Greece in spring 2015 and would need quite a lot local crew. Could you share some basic daily rates for the following crew, to give me an idea if what we are planning to do is actually feasible within the budget:
  – assistant director
  – production manager
  – location manager
  – assistant camera operator
  – casting director
  – crane operator
  – gaffer
  – dolly operator
  – interpreter (Russian language)

  We need lots of local crew for quite many shooting days, so the costs can add up. We’d love to shoot in Greece, but not sure it’s feasible in terms of cost. Although I was hoping the crisis could be on our side in this respect (sorry, guys!).

  Dear Kateryna,
  allow me to suggest you to go the other way around. International Service Crew’s Rates may be higher than you expect and thus discourage you. If you’re considering many shooting days, it’s better to find the right crew for the project and get a weekly/monthly rate agreement.

  Hi Daniel,

  thank you for your reply. I have already received some basic quotes from other Greek companies and I def see what you mean the rates might be higher than I’m expecting. We need to re-group and re-consider all thing and I will send through more information once available.
