Rafael Nadal loses his Kia Sportage in Spain in new Filmmaster Productions spot
Tennis star Rafael Nadal loses his Kia Sportage in a new spot from Filmmaster. As Kia drivers rally in a European city, they stop at a roadside shop where Nadal happens to have pulled over too; the grand-slam winner can't find his own Kia in the crowd.
The spot is set in Spain but the production team aimed for an international feel to open up their market. Nearly 30 cars were used for the shoot, with isolated CGI shots used on some of the windy rural roads where space was more restricted.
Palma was chosen as this is Rafael Nadal’s home town and also to give the film diversity, and Madrid for its great urban cityscape and surrounding country roads.
Romina Tedoldi, Producer
Romina Tedoldi produced the ad for Filmmaster: “The commercial was shot in various locations in and around Madrid and Palma de Mallorca. Palma was chosen as this is Rafael Nadal’s home town and also to give the film diversity, and Madrid for its great urban cityscape and surrounding country roads.”
A Russian Arm camera crane with an array of specialised lenses was imported from Amsterdam for the shoot.
