Canada’s Northwest Territories Film Commission launches new website
The Northwest Territories (NWT) Film Commission in Canada has launched a new website designed to boost location filming in the region. It’s been given a classic-Hollywood look and has a location photo library, details on regional filming infrastructure and how to access local funding.
David Ramsay is Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment: “[We’re] committed to supporting the healthy growth of the NWT film and media arts industry, and this new website is an excellent tool for promoting investment in an exciting and dynamic new sector.”
Northwest Territories is dubbed Land of the Midnight Sun as its northern latitude means the sun doesn’t completely set over the summer. Its filming industry is mainly built around documentaries, although at the moment it also hosts drama series Arctic Air.
