Johanna Karppinen appointed CEO of Finnish Film & Audiovisual Export
Johanna Karppinen has been appointed CEO of Finnish Film & Audiovisual Export (Favex). Karppinen has extensive experience in both the film industry and international affairs, and moves to her new position from the Finnish Lapland Film Commission.
“Favex is an internationally-known body that facilitates the global expansion of the Finnish audiovisual industry and I am excited to take on the job,” Karppinen said: “I am especially interested in making my contribution to increasing the competitiveness of Finnish companies and the whole industry by using my knowledge and skills in international marketing. I want to be involved in developing new partnerships and models for action.”
Favex promotes the Finnish audiovisual industry internationally. Before joining the Finnish Lapland Film Commission, Karppinnen worked for Finpro in Milan, promoting the Finnish industry in Italy.
