Cannes Soiree Partner 2013: Sevilla Film Office in Spain
The Sevilla Film Office has joined The Location Guide as a partner for our Soiree at the Cannes Lions Festival. Set up in 2003, the Sevilla Film Office is run through Seville City Council’s External Promotion Office (APPES) in the Spanish city.
The Sevilla Film Office co-ordinates with municipal services across Seville, assisting with filming permits and with production logistics. Staff can also offer connections with local crew and assist with location scouting.
“Cannes Lions is important since we get in touch with international production companies directly which are interesting in shooting in Seville,” says the SFO’s Project Manager Adriana Piquet: “We have the opportunity to promote not only our locations but also our experienced industry and crew base that is able to carry out any kind of production.”
Major features shot in Seville in recent years include Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator and Alberto Rodríguez’s Unit 7.
