Guy Ritchie to film The Man from U.N.C.L.E. on location in UK and Italy
Director Guy Ritchie is set to film his new spy feature The Man from U.N.C.L.E. on location in the UK and Italy. The movie is an adaptation of the 60s TV series that featured U.N.C.L.E. agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin taking on evil organisation THRUSH.
“Guy and I have long loved these characters and wanted to start from scratch with our own take and create a film steeped in the 1960s for today’s audiences,” says producer Lionel Wigram.
Shooting will take place at Warner Brothers Studios Leavesden near London in the next few days, with location filming also scheduled for Naples in southern Italy. Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill and The Lone Ranger’s Armie Hammer will star.
