MediaCo films ten islands in ten days for Greek tourism promotional video
Production company MediaCo filmed on location on more than ten islands in ten days for a new promotional video capturing the heart of the South Aegean Region in Greece. The London-based production team visited a selection of picturesque and quaint islands from the region including Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos and Paros (to name a few) with the aim of highlighting the history, gastronomy, hospitality and natural beauty of the islands. From breathtaking landscapes to uncovering the heart of Greek tradition and culture, the four-minute video shot in HD explores the versatility of the islands with the view to attract a range of travellers. MediaCo filmed over a short period of ten days, whereby the team spent their time island-hopping and organised a range of activities at each destination from underwater sports to folk dancing. Before any travelling, the production team mapped out a clear vision to have the regions signature colourful windmill symbol featuring throughout the video. Additionally, all characters were cast beforehand, securing the right aesthetic for the brief. The promotional video of the region, which includes the Cyclades and Dodecanese (totalling 49 inhabited islands), will serve as an informative tool for tourists. The video was co-produced with Indie Productions.
