Cannes Lions Soiree Partner 2015: Advertising Producers Association
Advertising Producers Association (APA) has re-joined The Location Guide as a media partner for our Soiree at this year’s Cannes Lions Festival. The APA looks after the interests of commercial production companies in the UK through production, post-production and visual effects.
The APA is once again supporting Young Director Award (YDA), which recognises up and coming talent from around the world and is run from the APA’s London offices. Shortlisted films will be screened and winners announced at a beach cocktail party held at the same time as the Cannes Lions Festival.
“This Location Guide Soiree, along with the Commercial Film Producers of Europe YDA, are the most genuinely international events in Cannes," says Steve Davies, chief executive of the APA.
"It’s the perfect place and time to catch up with people you know or those you are meeting for the first time.”
This year the APA is also hosting a Diversity Summit on the morning of 25 June, which will look at the lack of women and ethnic minorities in senior creative and management roles.
Speakers will include Tom Knox, chairman of DLKW Lowe, Sally Campbell, co-founder of Somesuch, Kat Gordon, founder of The 3% Conference, and Michelle Matherson, production talent executive for SHIVER at ITV Studios.
