The Location Guide celebrates success at Cannes Lions Festival 2015

The Location Guide has marked a successful week at the Cannes Lions Festival. We hosted our annual Cannes Soiree fringe event, organised our Location Beach Lounge for the second year in a row and hosted aperitifs for the World Producers Summit.

“Cannes Lions is always one of The Location Guide’s top annual events and this year was no different,” said Jean-Frédéric Garcia, The Location Guide’s Publishing Director.

“Our Soiree was a huge success and we’re always happy to offer our friends and colleagues a chance to unwind on the beach while making new contacts and often laying the groundwork for future projects in a relaxed social setting.

“This was the second year we’ve run our Location Beach Lounge, and this was another success story, facilitating business meetings and lots of informative chat about the latest industry developments.”

The Location Guide was also proud to be involved with the APA’s World Producers Summit. In addition the APA hosted a Diversity Summit discussing the state of the industry.

Grand Prix winners at Cannes Lions this year included Geico’s Unskippable and the Leica Gallery Sao Paulo in the Film category. Volvo Trucks’ Live Test Series won the Grand Prix for Creative Effectiveness and the ALS Association’s Ice Bucket Challenge secured the top For Good prize.
