Location Scotland Relaunches as LS Productions
Location Scotland, the Edinburgh-based Service Production Company, has re-launched as LS Productions. LS Productions has established itself as the UK’s largest and most experienced Service Production Company.
The organisation works closely with international agencies, directors, production companies and brands to create TV commercials, music videos, online content and fashion campaigns.
The rebrand includes the launch of LS Productions’ new website, which offers industry creatives further insight into their increasingly international location library, as well as further clarity on the services that they offer.
Through their developing international partnerships, this rebrand will increase the company’s global offering for service production, enabling them to expand further and continue to work with high end clients.
Marie Owen, CEO of LS Productions, comments: “We will continue to service produce fantastic campaigns here in Scotland, but with the added strength of being able to work with our existing client base and new clients in other parts of the UK and overseas. In order to achieve this we’re currently working hard to develop our in-house location library, so as to include backdrops for shoots and campaigns outside of Scotland.”
Headquartered in Edinburgh, LS Productions also operates an office in New York as well as the newly opened London location. These three offices allow the LS team to work closely with clients, and for greater flexibility in discussing future projects.
It’s very exciting that now we have the locations, connections, crew and relationships to be working all over the UK and New York.

Katy Hutcheson, Marketing & Communications Manager, says: “Scotland will always be at the heart of LS but we are a growing company with an international outlook and this new name allows us to work where our clients demand. This rebrand will put us firmly on the global service production map.”
Sarah Drummond, Head of Production, adds: “We are a very ambitious company but never lose sight of who we are at heart or what we do, which is great production. We aim to do this on a global scale and are looking forward to announcing the news of our international partnerships soon.”
Founded by CEO Marie Owen in 2006, the company has grown from just two members of staff into a 15-strong team of professionals, each of whom share Marie’s passion, drive and commitment to every client and project. With their already established reputation servicing stills shoots, the company started taking on moving image work in 2012; culminating in the creation of the motion department in 2014.
“I believe in constant investment into the company, whether that’s personal development for the staff, training up young producers, investing in company vehicles or re-branding the company to move in-line with our offering,” says Marie. “I like to stay ahead of the game and this attitude has got us to where we are. We’re an ambitious, determined and tenacious team.”
LS Productions highly skilled locations department possesses an unrivalled UK-wide location database of over 100,000 images. Backed by an exhaustive knowledge of every corner of Scotland, England and Wales, they have scouted every nook and cranny of the country.
“Scotland’s a small country, but it offers such a vast array of locations,” says Marie, “from lush green plains, rolling history, dramatic castles, empty winding roads and beautiful sea cliffs – we have it all! It’s very exciting that now we have the locations, connections, crew and relationships to be working all over the UK and New York. The future is bright for LS Productions.”
Sarah adds: “Location Scotland was a company that attracted world-class brands, agencies and production companies to Scotland, and delivered an exceptional service. LS Productions will take this unique offering even further, servicing not just Scotland but the whole of the UK and beyond. I’m proud to say that we work with companies at the top of their game, such as Park Pictures, Somesuch, Standard Films, Cobblestone and most recently Partizan. We have aimed high and the results speak for themselves.”
