Transformers 3 Producer calls Chicago “the best city we’ve ever shot in”
Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Producer of Transformers 3, has praised Chicago as the production comes to the end of an extended shoot in the city.
The Producer told a news conference: “Last night, I tried to think to myself how many cities have I shot in the last seven or eight years and I got up to about 118. The reason I thought about it was because all of us have felt this was the best city we’ve ever shot in.”
Chicago has made an estimated USD20 million from the Transformers 3 shoot, which is currently scheduled to wrap on September 1st.
Illinois offers a 30% tax credit for film productions. Aside from Transformers 3, the city has recently hosted The Dark Knight, Public Enemies and upcoming Ron Howard feature The Dilemma.
