The Location Guide helps organise Finnish Lapland familiarisation trip
The Location Guide has helped organise a familiarisation trip to Finnish Lapland. Five top location managers and scouts who have not filmed in the area before will be spending a few days in Finnish Lapland in September.
Johanna Karppinen, Project Manager at the Finnish Lapland Film Commission, said: “The appeal of Finnish Lapland as a filming destination lies in the excellent combination of the natural, wilderness locations and modern infrastructure. The road network is vast and well-maintained throughout the year.”
Finnish Lapland lies mostly within the Arctic Circle and covers an area the size of Scotland and Wales. The familiarisation trip will include a visit to Helsinki with the involvement of Film Location Finland.
