Film London and Ile de France Film Commission form partnership at Cannes Film Festival
A partnership agreement has been signed between Film London and the Ile de France Film Commission at the Cannes Film Festival. The collaboration will include post-production talents from London attending Parisfx in December this year. Several French producers will attend October’s Film London Production Finance Market.
In addition, the two organisations will collaborate on sustainable production in the audiovisual industry and will share information on how to make continued improvements. Film London currently runs its Green Screen initiative, while the Ile de France Film Commission has Ecoprod.
Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London, said: “I believe this partnership represents an intelligent response to competition and collaboration, recognising the similarities and differences between our respective organisations and indentifying some tangible initial areas where we can work together that we hope to build on.”
Olivier-Rene Veillon, Executive Director of Ile de France Film Commission, said: “We share the same values, high quality in production, sustainable development and we also share great talents especially in digital creation.”
