Lastminute.com shoots in Cook Islands
Major travel website Lastminute.com has filmed scenes from its latest commercial in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific.
Designed by Karmarama, Do More Good Stuff includes scenes where a couple drives through a jungle environment before running onto a tropical sandy beach and jumping into the sea.
Pulse Films shot in the Cook Islands as they were looking for a paradise beach. Peter Maynard, a Producer on the project, said: “We had been filming in New Zealand and the Cook Islands are only a four-hour flight away, so it was the logical place to go.”
The production flew to Rarotonga and accessed the remote Barefoot Island Beach by boat. The scene was filmed using a Canon 7D in an underwater housing as the scene involved the camera ending up in the sea with the characters.
UK-based RDF Television has previously used the Cook Islands as the location for its reality TV show Shipwrecked.
