KOFIC chairman dismissed
Kang Han-sup, the chairman of the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), has been forced to stand down by the Ministry of Strategy and Culture who supervises the council's activities.
Kang was appointed in May 2008 and was due to serve a three year term. However, the ministry recommended his dismissal following an evaluation of his effectiveness.
