Channing Williams loses battle with cancer
Simon Channing Williams, the UK producer best known more recently for his work on The Constant Gardener, has died at his home in Cornwall aged 63.
Channing Williams career started at the BBC working with directors such as Stephen Frears, James MacTaggart, Mike Newell and Mike Leigh. He produced many succesful films including the Palme D'Or winner Topsy-Turvy and Oscar nominated films Vera Drake and Happy-Go-Lucky.
He also played a key role in setting up The Constant Gardener Trust which aims to improve living conditions for the Kenyan people of Kibera and Loiyangalani.
Simon Channing Williams was a friend of The Location Guide and will be sorely missed.
