BossaNovaFilms' Willy Biondani directs Brazilian docudrama
Willy Biondani, who is currently on the BossaNovaFilms roster, has directed the docudrama Sertão Veredas. The docudrama was inspired by Guimarães Rosa's Grande Sertão Veredas, one of the 20th century's greatest literature works.
It tells the story of henchman Riobaldo, his wanderings through Minas Gerais’ outback and his desire for revenge while dealing with his feelings for Diadorim, his partner in crime who eventually reveals himself to be a woman.
Sertão Veredas was shot entirely at the BossaNovaFilms studios in São Paulo, Brazil.
