Slamdance to be held in Cape Town for the first time
Slamdance International Film Festival will be held Cape Town for the first time on 28th February 2009. There will be screenings of 40 previously unseen documentaries, features, animations and shorts.
The festival is currently looking for 10 short documentaries, a maximum of 10 minutes, shot in Cape Town and about Cape Town for its documentary film competition.
They can be experimental, avante garde, verite, animated or reportage as long as the budget is below SAR500 and made within the last 12 months.
The winner gets a spot at the Slamdance International Film fest in Park City in 2010.
