Samsung spot shot in São Paulo
Downtown São Paulo city was chosen by Mexican production company Cine Concepto to shoot the new Latin American Samsung spot, Baton. The ad was created by Leo Burnett Mexico and was serviced by Brazil's BossaNovaFilms.
Brazil, and São Paulo in particular, was chosen as the commercial’s casting called for a number of highly skilled dancers with a range of ethnic profiles. The city also provided the right urban backdrop.
Anna Martinez, executive producer and project head from BossaNovaFilms, said: “São Paulo is able to represent any major city in Latin America, the region where the product is currently being launched. This big city profile gives the spot an international-like characteristic."
