Scotland backs production companies
Scottish Screen has selected five production companies to receive financing through their Slate Fund. The fund originally intended to offer four companies a share of GBP400,000. The investment in project development now stands at GBP1.1 million over a two year period.
The five companies to benefit from the Slate Fund are Sigma Films, Black Camel Pictures, Last LLP, Crab Apple Films and Tern Television.
Carole Sheridan, head of talent & creativity at Scottish Screen, said: "The companies being offered support have very strong industry links. Slate Fund investment will allow these companies to capitalise on pre-existing relationships and help build new ones for the future."
