Nova Scotia increases tax credit for producers
Tax relief has been increased from 35 to 50% on local labour costs for production companies filming in Nova Scotia.
Producers who film in the city of Halifax will get 50% of the tax cost of local labour back on completion of the production. Foreign producers will need a local co-pro partner to be eligible for this credit. There is no Canadian content requirement attached and no limit on the size of the budget.
