Berlin announces availability of USD85 million to entice productions
Production companies with operations in Berlin will be eligible to apply for guarantees as security against loans for film finance untill 2013. $23m has already been made available for four guarantees since 2000. Berlin is experiencing a boom through both international and domestic production thanks to films such as The International, Valkyrie, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and Speed Racer.
