Ontario to increase production tax credit
Ontario is proposing to increase its Production Services Tax Credit to foreign-financed productions filming in the province from 18 to 25%. Further to this an increase from 30 to 35% for the Ontario Film and Television Tax Credit for which official Canadian Co-productions are eligible. These increases will assist the local industry in view of the strength of the Canadian dollar against the US dollar and increased incentives from other countries and states aiming at enticing production to their regions.
