USD50 million fund intended to boost filmmaking in Singapore

Singapore’s Media Development Authority and CJ Entertainment (CJE), a South Korean media giant, have announced the launch of a USD50 million fund to support Singapore filmmaking.

Katharine Kim, Chief Executive Officer of CJE, said: “We believe this strategic Asian partnership will encourage a stronger integration among various talented Asian filmmakers as well as companies and expand the appeal of Asian films to the global market.”

Asia Media & Technology Capital and Bang Singapore are also involved with the fund.
