47 Ronin brings 18th Century Japan and Keanu Reeves to Shepperton Studios
Keanu Reeves’ new film 47 Ronin has started filming at Shepperton Studios. The production team has spent several months building sets that recreate 18th Century Japan, including a tournament arena, a castle and a period village.
Andrew Smith, Group Corporate Affairs Director at Pinewood, said: “The sets are some of the most amazing we’ve seen and it’s so pleasing to have been able to provide the production with the space, infrastructure and support they need to help them achieve their vision for this film.”
