America’s Next Top Model films multiple episodes on location in Jamaica

Hit reality TV show America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) filmed multiple episodes and its season finale on location in Jamaica. The production spent more than USD1 million locally and JAMPRO – the Jamaica Film Commission - is looking for a long-term profile boost.

Kim Marie Spence is Manager of the Creative Industries and Film Commissioner at JAMPRO, and she spoke to South Florida and Caribbean News: “This project is an immediate ‘shot in the arm’ for the Jamaican economy."

Spence added: “It created 70 jobs and profiled the best of Jamaican fashion, music and celebrities to over one million viewers. The benefits of ANTM go beyond the actual spend.”

The show’s cast and crew stayed at Jamaica's Half Moon Resort during the shoot, while filming took place in locations like Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. In addition, the contestants modelled clothing from Jamaican designers.
