American Film Market unveils part of 5-day conference series for 2011
This year’s American Film Market (AFM) will for the first time feature a five-day conference programme when it begins in Santa Monica this November. The AFM Conference Series will feature input from leading industry figures.
Pitching, finance, production, marketing and distribution will all be tackled, with the Finance Conference the first scheduled. This will tackle incentives, new business opportunities in film production and speculation on what the future may hold.
The AFM is unique as it’s the only event in North America that attracts thousands of leaders in motion pictures from more than 70 countries.
Jonathan Wolf, Managing Director, AFM
Jonathan Wolf, Executive Vice President of the Independent Film & Television Alliance and Managing Director of the AFM, said: “The AFM is unique as it’s the only event in North America that attracts thousands of leaders in motion pictures from more than 70 countries, giving us the opportunity to curate terrific conferences with top talent from both Hollywood and around the world.”
This year’s AFM will mark the event’s 30th anniversary. Over 8,000 delegates are expected to attend and more than USD800 million in deals will be made behind closed doors.
