BossaNovaFilms has announced the launch of a new division for the production of interactive projects. It will work in conjunction with the production company's already eastablished areas of advertising, cinema, TV, web content and branded content. A team of four, Alexandre Souza, Gabriel Laet, Guilherme Almeida and Paulo Perez, has joined BossaNova to run the operation.

Raleigh Michigan Studios, formerly known as the Motown Motion Picture Studios, has obtained the USD75.8 million in financing it needs to convert the idled General Motors plant in Pontiac into two buildings that will house seven new soundstages.

Screen Australia announces support for 16 new projects

An adaptation of Louis de Bernières’ best-selling novel Red Dog is among USD12.5 million of new Screen Australia investment. The film was adapted for the screen by Daniel Taplitz and will be directed by Kriv Stenders and produced by Nelson Woss and Julie Ryan. Production is expected to take place in Western Australia’s Pilbara from October.
