Additional incentives or advantages | - - Under the Co-Production Scheme, the DFI can subsidise film projects in which a Danish production company is not the majority co-production partner by up to 60% of the Danish share of the production costs. The Danish share of the production costs, including fees and salary expenses for Danish creative and/or technical participation, must be approved by the DFI.
DFI subsidies under the 60/40 Scheme come with certain restrictions, in accordance with the Danish Film Act and the DFI's regulations. Subsidies may constitute no more than 60% of the budget for script preparation, project development or film production. The 60/40 Scheme is intended for films that are expected to sell at least 175,000 tickets.
Subsidies for feature film under the 60/40 rule are recouped at distribution.
