Filming for new movie Everest has shifted to the Dolomites in Italy after a limited shoot on location in Nepal. The film charts an infamous day in Everest’s history in 1996 when a rogue storm killed eight climbers on separate expeditions.
Hit US comedy show Modern Family could help boost film tourism in Australia following its special two-week shoot in Queensland and New South Wales. The show’s Australia filming marks the first time the comedy has shot outside the US.

Animation company leaders from British Columbia will visit the UK this week looking for commissions and co-production deals from top UK broadcasters. British Columbia is a major animation hub and Vancouver will be hosting production on a film version of video game Angry Birds.
The Celtic Group has taken over Raleigh Studios Baton Rouge in southern Louisiana and the filming facility, housed within the Celtic Media Centre, will be known as The Celtic Studios. Fox’s reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise is scheduled to shoot there in the coming months.
