The BBC’s new TV movie adaptation of classic novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover was shot in Wales. Merthyr Mawr House and Estate in Bridgend, between Swansea and Cardiff in South Wales, were the principal filming locations.
A remake of classic western The Magnificent Seven is filming on location in New Mexico. The original movie was released in 1960 – itself a remake of Japanese masterpiece Seven Samurai – and the film quickly became an enduring cornerstone of the western genre.

Michael Fassbender has started filming a long-awaited movie adaptation of the videogame franchise Assassin’s Creed in Malta. The production reunites Fassbender with director Justin Kurzel and co-star Marion Cotillard, all of whom worked together on the upcoming Macbeth.
American drama series Cuba will film on location on the eponymous island nation. Cuba recently hosted the feature film Papa, shot as a Canadian-Cuban production, and earlier this year Conan O’Brien became the first talk show host in decades to film in the country.
New US thriller The Shallows will be among the latest international features to shoot in Queensland. The announcement comes days after plans were unveiled for an extra stage facility for the Gold Coast area, which has recently hosted Unbroken and San Andreas.

The BBC is filming a second of popular police drama Happy Valley on location in Yorkshire in northern England. Set in the Calder Valley, the series follows police officers faced with a possible serial killer.
