Thai production house Jumbo A filmed a scooter adventure on location in Paris in a new commercial spot for Yamaha Thailand. The shoot was serviced by Camino Media and its local partner.
Joy Films shot on location in Mumbai for a new campaign for the Tata Nano. The spot shows young Indians gathering in the city centre to celebrate the Nano with dance numbers and colourful street acrobatics.
Sci-fi feature Elysium filmed partly on location in Mexico City, doubling the region for a dystopian Los Angeles. The film is set 150 years in the future on an Earth divided between a poverty-afflicted surface population and an orbiting luxury space station.
Sherpas Cinema and director Dave Mossop filmed aerial footage across Canada for new tourism ride FlyOver Canada. Launched at Canada Place in Vancouver, the ride is presented as a virtual flight, with the country’s most dramatic locations projected on a curving 180-degree screen.
Disney’s big-budget feature production of The Lone Ranger built Western sets for extensive filming in New Mexico. Based on the classic 1950s TV series, the film features Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as Ranger John Reid.
Landia followed Brazilian pro-skateboarder Karen Jones on location in Sao Paulo in a new spot for Xgames, an action sports competition run by broadcaster ESPN. Born Free follows Jones and a BMX-riding friend as they turn the city into a skating playground.
