ITV’s upcoming drama Desire, produced by Mammoth Screen (Poldark, And Then There Were None), will be shot on location in Sheffield. Split into five parts, the series will be penned by Jeremy Brock (Casualty).
A sequel to 1964’s Mary Poppins has begun shooting on location outside the Bank of England. Entitled Mary Poppins Returns, the production recreated an early 20th century setting, having hundreds of extras walk past the building as an old, open-deck bus drove down the street.
Robert De Niro’s next project, The War with Grandpa, has shifted production away from Toronto, instead opting to film on location in Atlanta.
ITV’s prequel to the Prime Suspect television series was partially filmed inside Ladywell Coroners Court and Mortuary, an abandoned building situated in southeast London. The location was transformed into a functioning mortuary during production.
The BBC’s next high-budget period drama, Gunpowder, has begun filming on location in Beverley, Yorkshire. Scenes were filmed at Beverley Minster, a large parish that dates back to 1220. The series is being produced by Kudos (Apple Tree Yard, Humans).
Production on the second season of Stan Lee’s Lucky Man travelled to a wealth of different locations throughout the UK capital. FilmFixer was on hand to handle the on location shoots in Islington, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Haringey and Camden.
South American production service company, Jacaranda Films, have shot their two latest commercials for Booking.com in Chile. Entitled Kindergarten and Driving Range, both spots were Directed by Jared Hess, with Damian Acevedo acting as DP.
The currently untitled 25th James Bond film could be shot partially in Dubrovnik. The local Mayor’s office has announced that negotiations are currently underway to bring the high-profile feature to the Croatian capital, and a presumably large production spend with it.
