Colorado keeps the faith
The Governor of Colorado will sign HB1010 today, which recreates the Colorado Film Commission as a state agency.
This is good news for the state, especially as the University of Colorado has completed an economic study that shows an expanded incentive programme will generate a significant amount of new film business in Colorado.
Existing legislation provides a 10% rebate of below-the-line costs for qualifying productions filmed in the state.
