Filming Memorandum of Understanding formed between NZ and China

New Zealand and China have formed a Memorandum of Understanding. This means more Chinese film productions will be made in Auckland. The agreement was reached after meetings between a delegation of Auckland filmmakers and the China Film Association.

Michael Brook, Executive Manager at Film Auckland, said: “This is an extremely heartening move that will ensure greater communications, co-operation and co-productions between the Chinese and New Zealand film industries.”

The development is being considered a step closer towards a formal production treaty being created between the two countries.
