Hi,
My name is Federica Lazzarini. Originally from Italy, I have been living in West London since 2002. I graduated at London Contemporary dance school in 2005 and then worked as dancer and choreographer in England and abroad.
Last October I attended a course in Art direction for film at Central St Martins College. I really enjoyed it and I found it very inspiring. After the course I worked as assistant art director for a few commercials. I also worked in The Boy with chocolate fingers and Flappy Hands, two independent films, in London and New York; I led the entire art department on a shoestring budget. I did mood boards and I sourced props and created scale models. I collaborated very closely with the DOP and the lighting department for angles. My next project as art director will be a short film in Tennessee in December.
Parallel to this I worked with an interior designer; I think that playing with space is a very good skill to acquire.
I also assist fashion stylists for photo shoots, sourcing samples, connecting with the agencies and assisting during the shoot.
I am looking to build my CV and work hard; I am a creative problem solver, organized, accurate and on time and I have a good eye for continuity.
