    A former British colonial city, the provincial capital Victoria is located on Vancouver Island, a short flight or ferry trip from metro Vancouver. Often filmed for the European looks of our old town, harbour front and historic institutions, there are also two castles and a host of Victorian mansions built in the late 19th century.

    The climate here is also the mildest in Canada. There is little to no snow fall during the winter and the temperature rarely dips below freezing. By February, spring is already starting to show itself. Rain is a possibility as well but usually interspersed with clear days.
