    hello – can anyone recommend a good helicopter company in cairo for aerial photography? please email mary@missionphotoproduction.com. your help is greatly appreciated!

    To shoot over Cairo with a helicopter is either through the military or a private company but because we are the land of security permits, the whole permits process can take about 6 weeks (because you have to go through about 4 different entities). The hour of helicopter flight is about 6,000 L.E. or 1,050 USD. contact me for further information nrizk@thetalkies.com

    Najla Rizk is right. We are indeed the land of security permits & clearances.

    Timing for permit issuance depends very much on the areas needed to fly over.

    Pricing for Military helicopters is 1800 US$.
    Pricing with private company is negotiable depending on total hours of flying. (however military clearance would still be required).

    I think Egypt is one of the country where if you need quick helicopter shoot – you need to bring small remote controll helicam.
    It will cost you about 10000-15000 Euro for 1 shift of shoot with all overweight.
    I know one company in Belgium, one in France. Most expensive one in US.
