Location for reality show – Africa

We have a client who is looking for an exclusive villa to a new realityshow with a swimmingpool and a great oceanview.
Minimum 6 rooms for the contestants, dining room, living room – and an indoor storage room for recording equipment and light.
Away from the cast are we also need a room for studio control, sync room, plus production office.
The production crew will also need accomodation nearby – approx. 50 people.

Initially we need pics of houses and villas that would fit this profile.

We need the location for at least 2 months.

There is a great boutique hotel on the Kwa Zulu Natal North Coast, with all your requirements for cast and various production, equipment and sync rooms.

10 rooms in total.
8 rooms on the 2nd floor and 2 rooms on the ground floor.
Massive dining space with 2 covered verandahs with sea views and 2 lounges.

It has a 25m lap pool with magnificent sea views as well.

There is also a 100 Room hotel right next door to it that can easily handle your crew acommodation needs.

All of this is only 50km from Durban and 30km from King Shaka International airport.

Kwa Zulu Natal has a sub tropical climate and has warm, rain free Winter months (April through September)

Hi Mike,

The next 6 months is great timing for shooting a reality TV format in South Africa.
It’s low season which makes it possible to make a excellent value for money offering for your production.

I have seen the other posts from all my collegues here, you’re spoilt for choice
That’s a good start for your search, now the challenge will be to narrow it down.
Everyone has its specialities and strong points.

In this case I strongly feel we’re the best candidate for the job.

I have more then 20 years experience in producing TV shows and have produced numerous reality TV shows for all major production companies and broadcasters in the Netherlands (Endemol, RTL, SBS, IDtv etc) before starting our production service company in Cape Town, Kaap Film, TV, Stills Production.
