    Hello,

I’m looking for a location somewhere in the UK that is close to this reference picture as possible. This photo was taken in Paris and it’s proving surprisingly hard to find a similar structure here.
Can anyone suggest where I should try looking? eg; particular period of building or particular town??

    Many thanks,

    Dave

hi, is budapest too far? i have quite a good selection of spiral steps. with regards, zita http://www.ppm.hu

    Hi David,

Hi Dave, does it really need to be within the UK? I can service your project with reasonable conditions in Prague and provide you with the best available locations incl. the needed staircase. One e.g. is in the centre of town, indeed a SPIRAL staircase, built inside a museum/coffee house from the Cubism era (1910-1920). I already shot another commercial in there and it looks great. Further spots are not a problem. Thanks and let me know on tom@moviecom.cz Tom

    Hi Dave,

With all our colonial architecture, we have many of these staircases in South Africa.

My guys have gone out to get some locations shots and we will post these later today.

I hope South Africa is not too far?

Please send me your brief I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how cost effective South Africa can be!

    All the best

    Hi

I know that India may be a bit distant for you but I am still attaching locations of a particular building that is old. Staircase is a little similar. However since its not in use it is not in the best of condition but can be maintained and done up if you are keen to shoot. Also attaching pictures of the exterior view of the building

If you go to NTPL.ORG.UK and search under Barrington, Buckland Abbey and Chastleton House, Oxfordshire (not top shot) they should see similar staircases.

    Dear Dave,

The Royal Haslar Hospital in Gosport, UK has an array of stairwells.

The link below shows two within the batch of images.
