  • Hi Linda

I’m a Pom living in Melbourne Australia, with experience producing factual TV for the BBC, Australian networks and leading production houses – so have scouted locations across Australia.

There are some great cityscapes(not always so obvious) that are ripe for broadcast here.

Would love to know more: my web: http://www.cproductions.com.au

    Hi Linda,

I am based in Queenstown New Zealand. Location scout for 22 years, locally at first, then internationally – roughly 35 countries with repeats on the favourites. Primarily TVCs for two key director/DOPs, as well as some infrequent features. A bit of 2nd camera work on the side. Haven’t maintained a CV for about 15 years, and don’t have a website as my work is almost all from established working relationships.
Happy to discuss if you think I might be able to help with your project.

    Best Regards, Dave

I am very pleased to have the opportunity to introduce my amazing country and offer my services and expertise in location scouting and production. For the last several years I operated mostly in the commercial world within Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean. Outside of location scouting I have had the privileged to travel to almost 80 countries for both work and pleasure. I am an avid photographer with abounding people skills and a passion for travel and communication. Our country is alive with possibilities and wonderful people who will be greeting the world with open arms this year as we host the soccer spectacular FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 and show out great talent for hospitality, organisation and a great time. From Cape Town to Soweto the film and commercial industry has never been so exciting here and we hope to see many of you here in the near future.

I failed to mention, that as well as endless white beaches and countrysides full of contrasts and surprises, we also have e-mail and internet.

I am a stills photographer / location scout-manager based in Queenstown New Zealand with 25 years experience working mainly on TVC’s for clients – Mercedes, BMW, Jeep, Toyota, Mitsibishi, Nike and many, many more. I have also scouted for The Lovely Bones ( Peter Jackson Feature Film ) and a Wolverine feature film.
I have traveled to Australia, Hong Kong, London, Scotland, and Europe while on holiday.
My experience as a Scout with Stills Photography talent has meant that my images usually bring the job in to NZ for the production companies that hire me.
While I have not had a lot of experience scouting overseas, I don’t see any problems as I would of course contact local scouts and agencies to help point me in the right direction and I would go from there, photographing the best locations and angles.
If you need any more info from me, please check my web site : dale@dalegardiner.com and contact me anytime.
    Cheers,
    Dale
