Dear Sandy
Russia, being a Northern country in both Europe and Asia, will offer you a whole variety of such sport facilities in Moscow and in big cities and even many more obsolete ones in the outskirts of the capital and in smaller towns. All in all we have over 2000 outdoors and nearly 480 indoors hockey stadiums, plus tens of thousands of outdoors skating rings opened for hockey matches as well.
The oldest stadium is “Baltica” (photo #12-1) in Kaliningrad, Western Russia, built in 1892 near the fortress (photo #12-2). Winter is only a few months there for hockey. incl. March, so soccer is more popular for the local team.
But if you need the stadium closer to the central part of Russia, there are dozens of old hockey stadiums both indoors and outdoors in the outskirts of Moscow, or St-Petersburg or even furthermore to the East – Khabarovsk or Vladivostok (see the photos I emailed to your creativedenfilms@gmail.com).
So, If you clarify what exactly you want to have for your film, we provide you with 2-3 ideal locations with ideal timing for your film production. Best regards, Eugene Zykov
